The Tvshka - Tshirt

I have felt a deep spiritual connection to the First American peoples since childhood. I have myself observed the resilience, the adaptivity, the power, majesty and calm ferocity of the Native American woman. Despite great efforts of attempted forced assimilation and attempted violent eradication, I, a native Oklahoman, see the women of the strong indigenous nations keeping the great spirit of this land’s indigenous peoples strong and growing upward, unyielding like the mountain. Tvshka is the Chahta (Choctaw) word for “warrior.” In my studies of the native peoples, there is no terrain or circumstance unconquered by native women, no lack of strength or will in their spirits.
